During the consultation, I was able to discuss my concerns in detail with Dr. Milgrom and get somewhat of a game plan going for my procedures. I was provided information on what to expect and how many sessions I may need and all my questions were addressed, without being rushed.
My first laser treatment was very painful for me and also left my skin very swollen and burnt for almost a week. When I mentioned this, AMA’s staff was very responsive and made sure to schedule longer numbing time for my next treatment and also provided pain medication prior to the session, rather than post laser. Lastly, they also had me spend an hour in the oxygen chamber and what a difference that made! The recovery from my second laser was much more bearable than my first.

I am a very natural person but always had to wear cover up/makeup on my face to hide my skin. It would get everywhere and was very embarrassing.
I finally decided when I turned 30 that i did not want to wear makeup and more and should do something about it. I had no idea what was out there really until I started researching. I called so many places but did not find them helpful or able to get me in within two weeks. I talked to Trisha at AMA Regenerative Medicine & Skincare and she listened to me and answered my questions for at least 30min. I felt so much better after speaking with her and getting in right away.When I went into the office, which is immaculate, I felt immediately like this is the right place. Asher and I spoke at my free consultation and got a wonderful price for the procedure. He explained everything to me in detail and i started to think of the possibilities of perfect skin finally.
At my first appointment i was taken care of from head to toe. I felt no pain and it was about a 3 hour process. The nurse and Dr Pien were very comforting and made all the procedures quick and painless. When I left I was slightly red and swollen but it was more like a sunburn. The lotion and face wash AMA provided was great and the next day I was about the same sun burnt look.
After a few days of staying out of the sun and following the after care instructions my skin started to peel and the dark spots and scars started to “fall” off my face. After a week or so I could already tell that my skin was about 40% better. I started to get compliments for the first time. I have been staying out of the sun and following proper care with sunscreen and my skin is already on the road to perfection!
I still have 2 more laser treatments to go but I can already see a major change. I go in today for the my first collagen induction therapy session. I would recommend AMA to anyone who cares about improving their skin and keeping it healthy. The best staff and DR. in town. You will feel very comfortable and taken care of. I was referred to AMA by a friend who has flawless skin. I unfortunately do not and never have. I suffer from adult acne and acne scarring. I’ve tried everything, and I mean everything! I finally decided I needed some laser acne treatments. I shopped around at several laser skincare places until my friend finally recommended AMA.I sat down with Dr. Milgrom at my consultation and he really made me feel comfortable, got to know me, and told me about himself and his journey – personal and professional. He then spent time really educating me on what causes acne and acne scaring and skin and why some have bad skin and where scars come from and everything. Then he explained thoroughly the process of the laser treatments, how my skin will react, what each procedure will do to me, how they will feel and how it will get rid of acne. This is the first place that told me I could treat my scars AND my acne simultaneously! It’s like a DREAM come true for me. He even suggested some home remedies for acne that I could do myself.
I walked out of the consultation fully trusting Dr. Milgrom and his wonderfully kind staff.
I’ve had 1 of 3 laser treatments done so far and I definitely definitely see and feel the difference. Dr. Pien is an ANGEL! She talked me through each laser and was so kind and gentle with me. (I have a ZERO tolerance threshold for pain) The nurses and assistants in the office are genuinely some of the NICEST people I have ever met! The office sends you daily emails about what to expect so you’re never worried about your healing process. They even call just to check in and see how you’re feeling.
I’ve also tried several other treatments like the Ozone Therapy and the CIA treatment. Both amazing as well!

They were honest to let me know that i will have a systematic approach to my treatment. They didn’t want to jump to laser first and so i was prescribed topical creams and oral meds to treat active acne lesions first. After which other treatment modalities will follow They were so kind to call the pharmacy to give me a discount on the meds since my insurance didn’t cover one….. Who on earth does that!! you can not beat this team of care givers they are absolutely amazing. My consultation experience was very reassuring as i had other little things i needed treatment for …like some scars on my right deltoid area and a mole around my elbow area.
I had a test laser done on me same day ….to see if i will develop hypertrophy. She got the mole taken care of and i was flattened instantly. So far test patch is doing great no hypertrophy. My active acne lesions are drying up each day and i am very compliant with the meds as prescribed. I have been living with severe cystic acne scarring for about 20 years. I had tried so many treatments and very little results. A good friend of mine referred me to this medical practice. I had been considering doing something to improve my skin. I’m in my late 20s and starting to see some of the effects of all those years in the sun (sun spots, pigmentation, discoloration). Ok, so I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, but I must do so this time. I’ve had acne scarring for over a decade now. I have gone to the best plastic surgeons and dermatologists in LA and San Diego. None of them made me feel comfortable the way Asher and Dr. Pien did at AMA. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease. Asher explained everything to me in detail and he was patient with me. I did not feel like I was being rushed into anything. I truly felt educated about the procedure and I had no reservations. I am an actress so my face is of the utmost importance to me. I knew he was sincere. Plus, I was paying a fraction of the cost other doctors had quoted me for the same procedure. I knew he believed in his product.
Now, to the day of the procedure. From the moment I walked in, they made me feel like a queen. Like there was no one else in the world that was as important as me! Tracy, who is the medical assistant, offered me medicine for my anxiety and the pain. I only took tylenol and also a valium for my nerves. I listened to music in a room with a water fall and I laid on a massage bed until the numbing cream kicked in. Once they were ready, Dr. Pien explained what she was going to do every step of the way. Who does that these days? All doctors are out to make money. Not her. I felt that she cared about me the way my mother would. She engaged me in conversation throughout the treatment and told me what to expect every second. I have never, ever in my entire life came across a doctor like her (and my brother is a doctor!). Never. I have a deeply seated respect for her not just as a doctor, but as a human being who genuinely wants to help others. Her knowledge and expertise in unmatched.
Once the treatment was over, I was sent to the oxygen chamber (i think that’s what it’s called) and I fell asleep! Tracy was constantly checking on me though. They were so nice and friendly. It was like have two of my girlfriends there for support. I will say the treatment was a bit uncomfortable, however, I asked her to be more aggressive in certain areas so I expected that.
All in all, I whole heartedly recommend AMA to anyone who wants first class service. I really felt like a queen walking out of there and I certainly could not have asked for a better medical staff to take care of me. I will definitely be going back for all my procedures from now on.
In terms of results, I am not sure as I just had it done on Thursday and I’m still recovering. I am confident that Dr. Pien has worked her magic though. I will keep everyone posted!
Acne has been around since the days of the Egyptians. Literally, there are all sorts of archeological findings that indicate that cystic acne was an issue all the way back then.
Even so, over the last 4,000 years, we haven’t figured out what the real systemic causes of cystic acne are.The doctors took their time to discuss the best plan for me and really showed that they cared. The staff was so nice and cheerful and I could tell that they really care about the patients that come in.
I’ve had amazing results for treating my acne here and I couldn’t be more happy with my skin. I’ve been to many different places and gotten many laser treatments but this place is the one that cleared my skin!

Although skeptical initially I did my research and found that if done correctly, it can really make a difference in your skin, AMA was one of the first that popped up when I googled medical facilities that do laser treatment procedures, I read their reviews and was excited to see how many ppl were pleased with them. Long story short I received my first laser acne treatment and within days after the damaged skin peeled off my skin looked so much better, better than it has in years.
Darker skin usually doesn’t respond well to lasers so other doctors are hesitant to treat African Americans/ ethnicities with darker skin but the Doctors at AMA know exactly what they’re doing and the right lasers to use to effectively treat darker skin without further damage.

Laser hair removal can remove hair on virtually all areas of the body, including the face, legs, underarms, bikini line, arms, back, chest, etc.

I am african american and they take such good care of my skin using the Yag laser. Its also important to me to be heard about my concerns for myself, and here you can ask as many questions as you like, I can tell its important to them that you feel comfortable and confident about your experience. “To good to be true” ? …well ..they’re Damn good, and its True. Don’t pass this place up.The only services I’ve received here were the laser hair removal treatments for my pits and my ‘stache. I was pretty nervous and probably had too many annoying questions but the staff was genuinely helpful, making sure I felt comfortable. I like that the price sheet was clear and they offer discounts if you pay in advance. After the 5th treatment (for the superthickhairones) the price is discounted 50%.
I eased up after my second appointment and really looked forward to coming back. The laser hair removal treatment itself were not painful at all and I was easily in there for only 5 minutes. It just feels like a really quick wet carpet shock. The last hair removal appointment hurt a little bit, but only because she purposely increased the strength of the laser so I wouldn’t have to come back. It kind of smells like burnt popcorn.
The only complaint is that they don’t validate parking (at their LA location) and I learned after an appointment that I had pushed to a Saturday, that there’s free parking on weekends!I came in for a laser hair removal session and a erbium laser facial. I was skeptical because it was SO expensive, but it was 100% worth it. So worth it. I now feel much more comfortable walking outside without makeup. The hair is 90% gone, when one does grow in it’s FINER to the point I don’t even realize its growing. My chin mind you was something I HID from plain sight for years, I wouldn’t even let men kiss my neck for fear they knew about the stubble! I now have ZERO hair and the infected skin of the hair growing and being removed in a vicious cycle has made my chin go BACK to normal. No discoloration, no dark spots, no enlarged pores, no hair. It’s like the chin I was born with! I cry to even think about how long I held myself back to find a place to help me with this major insecurity!
I’m coming in this week because I’ve been lazy on my maintenance and though the laser is a pain in the ass for recovery (you basically have to stay inside) Im excited for my session because I always feel like even if its been a while this is a place to reset. As an African-American woman – we just have unique skincare needs. I am happy to FINALLY find a place in LA that treats my skin type within my price range. I needed premium esthetic services and derma care, I found it here. I’ll be a customer for as long as they’re in business. Good people.First of all, I would like to point out that I have had laser hair removal in the past at several different locations before I found AMA Regenerative Medicine & Skincare. The first time I had laser treatments was at a dermatologist’s office in Newport Beach. A dermatologist I never saw and never met. The PA did the laser treatment, and failed to give me prep or post op instructions which ended up with me shaving – yes shaving in their bathroom before the treatment, and skin scabbing after the procedure. It was awful and very painful. I endured the pain of the ‘gentlelase’ twice, not to mention the $300 ea treatment, before I came to my senses and looked elsewhere. The second place I found was within Irvine, but they could not maintain the cost of the rented machine and went out of business; I treated there for 2 years, and a nurse or LVN always performed the procedure. Suffice it to say, I have had lots of experience with various kinds of lasers and medical professionals when it comes to laser hair removal.
I decided to check out AMA Regenerative Medicine & Skincare because they are located in my business building; what could more convenient right? Then I met Dr Pien whom I expected to rush through everything and give me a price. Instead she took her time going over an extensive history of my prior treatments to determine which programs and treatments would benefit me best. She is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. She went through the different types of lasers and hair types and the effects each has on the other and told me what to expect. I was provided with all the prep paperwork and explained everything in great detail. Best thing ever – They NUMB YOU!! before the treatment.
The most impressive thing of all is that Dr. Pien does all the treatments herself. An actual doctor! That is not common in laser hair removal. Dr. Pien is exceptional and thorough. She works meticulously to reach every spot. The results are fabulous. I have seen a dramatic difference in the laser hair removal treatments I have received at AMA Regenerative Medicine & Skincare compared to the other places I have been. In less than two treatments almost all the targeted hair is gone. The value can’t be beat.

I was a little concerned when she never even mentioned the doctor or her name, but I just had a good feeling about the place.
Needless to say, I am on my second area of laser hair removal and Dr. Pien has been amazing! She truly wants you to see results as quickly as possible while also managing expectations.
They offer numbing cream prior to the laser treatment where they have you sit in a room with the most awesome massage chairs. Their pricing is totally reasonable as well. I purchased a package of laser hair removal sessions and any additional session after that was half price. I have on occasion had to wait a little longer than I would like for my session to begin, but I understand they are very busy.

Thank for your compassion of your work .Just finished a series of 9 zerona treatments and enjoyed the two weeks I chose to commit to commute to the Newport Beach area in search of a slimmer waistline. I am still dropping inches like I was told I would a week after the sessions have ended and all the while never experienced pain.
The staff members I interacted with were not only very knowledgeable, they were very personable and willing to share their knowledge about the treatments and equipment as well as being very responsive to my having to reschedule the appointments several times due to my work schedule constraints.The vast array of lasers available in this office coupled with the holistic approach puts them on the cutting edge in treatments for surgery free solutions. While not inexpensive, the cost of the treatments are certainly a good value when considering the amount spent on Botox and fillers as quick fix temporary solutions with questionable outcomes or having to deal with even more expensive surgery alternatives.
Dr. Milgrom himself, took the time to educate us in the methods they have perfected using lasers to jumpstart the skin into doing the work itself rather than burning the layers of skin as so many of the treatments du jour manage to do. Being a believer in subtle refinement with a natural outcome– AMA has convinced me. And now that I’ve successfully completed the first set of treatments for fat reduction I’ll be bringing my friends and returning for treatments to heal my skin irregularities. The office is located so close to the Orange County Airport you could walk if needed and if you’re driving it’s a short distance just south of the 405 and they do validate parking.This place is outstanding! Leila, the nurse,does my Microneedling Treatments and she is beyond awesome. I love the CIA treatment…And I love getting it done by her. She too, is so very warm and inviting. She makes me feel at ease, always making sure to check up on my comfortability or pain factor.
You may have to come for several sessions to see improvement with the CIA, but it is worth it. I think it may be even more beneficial rather than paying for costly laser treatments (if you have the patience) and if you have minor to moderate skin issues only.

The price… Other places that I called around to were all charging 2 to 3 times more for the same procedure. This made me a little skeptical at first but considering that I was referred by a friend this place it had to be reputable. So I scheduled a consultation and met with Dr. Milgrom.
The consultation… I walked in and was taken aback a bit at the beauty of their office. Feels more like an art gallery than a medical clinic. Later I was told that all of the art comes from patients of theirs. That’s pretty cool. Each person I met on their staff made me feel more and more like I was home while I waited for the doc. I didn’t have to wait for long before the doc came out, introduced himself as Asher, invited me into the consultation room and asked me “what would you like to learn about”. The best part of the consultation was that he listened to me. I never felt rushed or sold. He spent the time to answer all my questions and I came out of that consultation feeling like an expert in lasers and an expert in skin. I really liked that.
The treatment… I scheduled my treatment for a week later. I came an hour before my treatment to get numbed up. I met the medical director Dr. Pien who checked to see if I had any more questions. I did, and she answered them all. What a sweetheart. The staff brought me back to a room with giant massage chairs and a very peaceful ambiance. They applied numbing cream to my face which I was told would make it so I barely felt the laser treatment. Once the numbing cream was applied I sat back and marinated in the massage chair. Pure bliss. Once the numbing cream had taken effect I was taken back to the laser room. I laid back and let Dr. Pien work her magic. The treatment itself was nearly painless. 10 to 15 minutes later I was all done and ready to go.
The recovery… Was not bad at all. I pretty much looked like I had a sun burn which faded away within a few days. There was no pain. The only thing I could feel was the tightness. This I considered a good thing.
The results… I was pleasantly surprised. From what I know about lasers now it typically takes 2 to 3 treatments before you really start seeing results. So I was excited to see a difference after the first treatment. Can’t wait to have more. I saw a noticeable difference in the wrinkles around my mouth and eyes. Overall the texture of my skin is much better and my pores are smaller. I know it’s too early to be definitive but looking in the mirror I could swear that my skin in fuller and tighter.
The experience… Just fantastic. They really take care of you in every way. I still remember My last time I went to another Laser center, they messed up my skin ( by that moment I felt like I want to kill myself. I didn’t have any confidence to see any of my friends. Upset 24 hours a day, never wanted to see the Mirror). I thought I won’t be better anymore. But I still gave myself last chance to this doctor.To be honest, I’ve very Nervous at first time Doctor Pien was doing treatment for me ( because I didn’t know her, maybe she’s the same as the last doctor or just wanted get money from me or whatever). But I was wrong. During all this months. I can see her personality. I can trust her.
Today I was doing another treatment I saw she’s probably training new doctor. I heard what she taught her student that made me feel comfortable. A good doctor more than I know of course! I think she’s a good leader too. Because all of her employees/coworkers are very nicely and patiently. I’m a patient, I don’t know about others, but for I know, they’re doing very good job there!One day I stumbled on to Dr. Pien’s website. Reading the reviews there were many other women that had the same pigmentation problems and they had gotten to the point where they did not have to wear makeup anymore. So I said, OK, for my birthday present I’m going to try this one more time. We did the treatment and I am a special case but the difference with Dr. Pien is that she has every different type of laser. It’s not like when you go to other dermatologists were they have one or two lasers and if you only have a hammer, everything is a nail. So they will try what they have. Dr. Pien has every possible laser that you can think of. She’s high tech and she is very capable but on top of that she is very caring. She cares about the results of her treatments. She cares about her patients.
I was about to give up and she told me “you know what, let me try”. We tried little things and I am hyper-sensitive. What would work on a normal person would actually make me hyper react and that could be a very common thing with asians.
Now I feel very confident, I can walk around without makeup on. I actually don’t wear foundation anymore I just put on sunblock.I was referred to Dr. Pien and her team by a friend and could not be happier. I’ve received a number of services, including facials and lasers, and have seen amazing results with all my melasma treatments. The staff is unbelievably kind and accommodating.
The most recent treatment I’ve done was a laser treatment to reduce the size and pigment of many moles and freckles on my upper body due to sun damage. Laila helped with the initial process of numbing, and I got to relax in a massage chair before Dr. Pien came in and quickly zapped all the troubling spots.

The staff worked with me in coordinating an appointment time with my schedule and coming from out of state.
The day of my appointment nothing was going in my favor. My flight was delayed by hours because of bad weather, and there was no way I was going to make my appointment time. Between flights, I received notification that my credit card had been compromised with fraudulent charges and that my card was suspended. So I arrived in California missing my appointment, with no way to pay, and a flight back to Texas in just over an hour.
Thankfully Dr. Pien and staff still had me come in since I had traveled so far just to see them. They treated me like VIP; they had me in and out and back at the airport on time!!! I am so thankful to everyone who helped me in and out that day.
Just in case you are wondering, I opted for no pain-numbing for my treatment to save time and they don’t take PayPal so you will have to find a really good friend to bail you out, lol. I almost forgot! I went in for Melasma treatment, and after one treatment my pigmentation looks better than it has from 12 other treatments by other doctors.
Hopefully, with Dr. Pien’s experience I can finally be rid of my hyper-pigmentation. I been going here to get her face treated for imperfect skin tone.
Dr. Pien is very patient treating her and try different type of laser procedures. It has work very well. Of course, it takes a lot of time and patient to treat skin discoloring.

I developed Melasma about a couple years ago and this got exasperated when I went to a med spa for IPL treatments unfortunately. I did so much research which lead me to Dr. Milgrom and Dr. Pien and they are really the most informative doctors in the industry who have nailed down how to combine medical and holistic solutions for best skincare. Dr. Milgrom took the time to explain what melasma is and the melasma causes of my skin condition clearly by drawing everything on paper. I had been to many dermatologists and med spas to interview them and this was really the first place that resonated well, and for good reasons that is! I now know where and what layer of skin contains Melasma, where it comes from, how it gets triggered and how it can be tamed. My skin has improved already and I am continuing with AMA to get more treatments.
During my consultation Dr. Milgrom noticed I was fatigued and he told me that a vitamin B shot would help me. Next thing I knew he told his nurse to give it to me for free. I was astounded how kind and generous he was. And then during my past two treatments, Dr. Pien explained how she mixed the laser machines to make sure skin is renewed without being harmed, and also gave me some great tips on holistic measures which I can take.
AMA is honest, informative and they have latest and variety of equipment. Their nurses are also so warm and professional, both. I live in Sherman Oaks and it is quite a long drive for me, especially with my hectic work schedule, but I do it with no hesitation. I am personally delighted to have found my holy grail of skincare. Thank you, Dr. Pien, Dr. Milgrom and your awesome staff. I have been seeing Dr. Pien and her team for over a year now. I came to AMA because I had melasma (clusters of dark pigment) on my face, as well as large pores, and acne scars. I was referred to Dr. Pien from my mom who had highly reviewed her for her laser treatments.
The first time I called, I was surprised by how quickly the receptionist answered the phone and by her friendly attitude. She addressed all of my questions and made me feel comfortable in moving forward with an appointment. After a consultation, I decided to have laser facial treatments done. I had 3 sessions over the course of 8 months or so.
The results were amazing. 90% of my dark spots have faded. No matter what topical products say that they will reduce the appearance of spots, really the only way to do it through laser. My skin glows now and has a really nice texture. The majority of my acne scars have decreased significantly. The best part about getting laser is that it is a holistic approach to skincare. From my consultation, I learned what melasma is, what causes melasma and that laser inflicts microscopic damage to the skin and your immune system works to repair it. Through the repair, your skin improves and it reverses aging. Of course they explain it better, but I liked knowing that the majority of the process was from my own body making the changes.
I see Dr. Pien for other services now and will continue to do so not just for the amazing results. She is the sweetest, most considerate doctor out there. She is always very warm and happy to help you. Dr. Pien and AMA work to help you achieve your goals. Their staff is knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. They are well versed in the science behind skincare and stay up to date on the latest procedures.

Please note that all treatments are subjective to each patient’s health and his/her own healing process. In my case, I was shocked by how severe I looked after my first treatment. I basically looked like a lizard for 5 days (this is due to the laser peel–not co2 fractional or pigment laser which I have had separately), but the outcome was incredible. I have never seen my skin look so good. Just a warning that the healing process is the most challenging part. Expect to stay at home for a couple of days unless you are okay with going outside with dark, peeling patches. Another thing to note is that you must keep up with a healthy skincare regimen (sunscreen!!!) for lasting results. This is my second review so this will be a very brief but genuine post. I have been receiving laser melasma treatments to help and even the pigmentation of my skin and some brown spots, and Dr. Pien sets the bar very high when it comes to her work. Im am amazed almost in disbelief of how my skin improved over time.
Although some procedures may take a little more time than others. AMA makes sure they get the job, unlike these greedy LA doctors who try to milk you for your last dime with sketchy results, Dr. Pien cares for me as if I’m a friend or family member showing compassion for my problem and delivering the solution.

For the last three years I’ve had Melasma spots on my upper lip and cheekbones that were progressively getting worse. I tried many things to help reverse the dark spots on my skin but nothing was working. After coming across AMA on yelp, and researching their website, I decided to schedule a consultation.
During the consultation Dr. Milgram took the time to get to know me, and what my skin concerns were. He then explained what is melasma in depth, and discussed a tailored melasma treatment that would be best for me. I appreciate the time he took to answer all my questions, as I always have many questions. After an hour-long chat with him, I decided to go with a treatment that would address my Melasma and acne scars at the same time. I had received other consultations prior to this, but I felt most confident with AMA’s expertise and holistic approach.
I have since had two laser treatments and Collagen Induction Therapy in between. During each visit, the staff is amazing at helping you feel relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Pien walks you through each step describing the purpose of each laser she is using. I’ve been especially thankful for their follow up care. They send you home with written instructions, send daily email care instructions, and call to check up on you.
The results have been great so far. Even after my first laser treatment I noticed a huge improvement in my skin. My Melasma spots were lighter, my overall skin tone was more even, and I rarely break out now. For the first time in 10 years I feel comfortable leaving the house without makeup. I’ve struggled with Melasma spots on my nose, upper lip, and cheeks for close to four years. She patiently answered every question I had, and I certainly had a lot. Dr. Milgrom joined us part way through the consultation and he was just as patient with me and my questions. Both Rebecca and Dr. Milgrom made me feel completely at ease and I confidently decided to schedule my first Melasma treatment.
I could not be happier that I made that decision. Dr. Pien explained every step of the melasma treatment and took great care to calm my nerves. I didn’t think it was possible to have more questions after my consultation, but I did and Dr. Pien answered them all. After just the first melasma treatment my skin looked amazing. The dark spots on my cheeks and nose were significantly lighter. they’re almost unnoticeable now. My lip has some way to go, but it’s definitely better than it’s been in years.

This place delivers!The day of my procedure, they put me in a big massage chair with a cup of tea while the numbing cream did it’s magic. The laser procedure to remove the sun spots itself took maybe 15 mins. Pretty painless because after of the numbing cream, felt like tiny pin pricks.
After the laser procedure they prefaced that my freckles are going to be a lot darker than usual but should flake off after a few days. Admittedly, I had some doubt that this was going to be effective. However about 5 days the dark spots on my face really did flake off and my complexion has never been clearer. The procedure wasn’t cheap but definitely worth every cent. I would recommend the AMA Regeneration Medicine and Skincare facility to anyone and everyone. I am currently being treated for age spots on my face. After several treatments, the spots have pretty much disappeared. I am ecstatic. It has changed my appearance and has made me more confident.

I went to AMA Regenerative Medicine & Skincare first in 2010. I met with Dr. Milgrom about my freckles laser treatment on my face. He took a time and explained me the reason behind getting freckles on face and body. This session was so informative.
Then I met Dr. Pien who did my first laser treatment, and Dr. Pien is amazing, when I met her I felt I am in a right hands, I was so impressed when Dr. Pien told me that she tell her patients that they don’t need to hold their self back from going outside in the sun like to beaches etc.. go outside and enjoy your life. Just come once a year to treat your self.

Any Asian knows, we have stubborn skin and these spots are difficult to remove. I have been to several dermatologists all to no avail. I had my first laser treatment a couple of days later. Everyone (including the receptionist) is so knowledgeable and friendly. They made sure I knew what to expect and how to care for my skin. A week later, I could see the dark spots were fading and I only had one treatment! It is worth every penny I spent and then some and I normally can’t afford luxuries such as this, but they are quite reasonable and have low interest payment plans.
Also, I thought they might not have done enough on my second laser treatment so they had me come back a couple days later and gave me a touch up for free. The facility is great and since they remodeled it’s even better. The place is like a spa. They even have massage chairs while you wait. I have been treating a cafe au lait birthmark, I have been treating hyperpigmentation, as well as laser hair removal on various areas. I am olive complected and have African descent and we all know how complex it can be to treat that skin type. This place has the expertise, knowledge, and equipment to treat them all.I always leave here feeling relieved and happy. I have been a patient for over a year and a half, I transferred from the LA location to Irvine location and my service has not changed.
As with any medical procedure, do your research, but coming from a gal who is no stranger to med spas, I encourage to stay away from places that pop up out of no where, change ownership/names often, have no doctor on hand, does webcam diagnosing, high nurse turnover rate, always a new nurse, etc. those places are purely profit driven, they lack passion, and it shows in the treatment you receive and the staff you deal with as I have been burnt by inexperienced technicians in those kinds of places.
Save yourself the time and money of having to erase mistakes from those kinds of places and just come here.
AMA has been around, under the same name, and you always deal with the same staff, so that in itself speaks volumes. I trust and love AMA skincare and I am positive that I will be a patient for life.
Oh and the best part is it’s not too pricey it’s very affordable and it’s a good price for what you’re asking for she also removed a small mole for free just out of her character! I seriously don’t know why I didn’t come here in the first place instead of throwing away so much money on other dermatologist, also they have a very cool relaxing waiting room with massage chairs and their staff is amazing! Let me just start off by saying I was born with a dark brown birth mark on my face, it was a size of a quarter, and I was bullied growing up because of it. I would always wear make up to try covering it up, even going to the beach I would wear a full face of make up and I would not even go in the water. I decided I wanted to get it removed. I went to 6 different Dermatologists in Beverly Hills, I spent so much money on consultations and different laser test spots on my birth mark. Some of the Doctors even advised me that laser wont work and the only way is to cease it out and I would be left with a big scar. I would leave crying knowing nothing will ever remove it. I came to AMA…and first test spot was such a success I noticed it made my birth mark a lot lighter. Point is, I finally finished my last session and its completely gone!! You guys don’t know how life changing it was for me! I am so thankful and blessed to have met Dr. Pien. I haven’t worn foundation since then!
In March, my lip lines had gotten out of control. When I looked in the mirror that’s all I saw, deep vertical lines between my upper lip and nose. The lines were deepest on my left side because that’s the side I sleep on the most.
After Dr. Pien did the treatment I was amazed at the instant results! Took a picture right after the treatment because the difference it made was incredible.
I’m way overdue for another visit. My acne is out of control, sun spots, wrinkles and oh yes, the dreaded lip lines are back. I’ll be scheduling another appointment soon.

I am so happy to have found this magical place!I had the SpectraLift and I’m so happy with the results so far. I HAD (past tense) loads of sun damage from years of running marathons with no sunscreen (woops) and my self esteem was taking a hit.
I researched lasers and treatments for 2 years before choosing AMA and am kind of an expert now. I chose them because they have every type of laser and could tailor my treatment for my skin and skin issues without being restricted to only one or two types of lasers. Plus Dr. Pien has so much experience I felt comfortable trusting her with my skin.My whole experience was great. Dr Pien has a lovely bedside manner and she zapped the sun spots right off my face and chest. Looking forward to seeing my wrinkles fade as my new collagen builds (I’m only three weeks out today).

Thank you so so much AMA!!I decided to purchase a series of SpectraLift Non Surgical Face Lifts and the morning of the first laser treatment I was terrified. I came very close to canceling the appointment. I asked to see Dr Pien before the procedure while I was waiting for the numbing cream to take effect. To my surprise she came right in and put me completely at ease. Never in my life had I met such a warm, caring doctor. She put me at ease immediately and talked me throughout the entire laser procedure while she was lasering my face.
It hurt way less than I thought and was very tolerable. My face was swollen and I looked horrible, but went everyday to the hyperbaric oxygen chamber in their office. Everyone was so nice, I felt like they were my family and I wished I could just move into their office. My face healed up and looked much better in a week and now I’m anxious to have the last two treatments. Felt it was time to update my review and tell everyone, it IS as wonderful as ever. Dr. Pien, Tracy and all the staff are down to earth and as caring as ever. No matter what the treatment is Big or Small my experience is alway EXCELLENT!I am 45 years old and after having grown up in Southern CA have been increasingly seeing the effects of sun damage and general skin aging (sun spots, thinning skin, loss of volume). I was referred to AMA Regenerative Medicine & Skincare through a dear friend who had done a series of the SpectraLift Non-Surgical Facelift treatments with Dr. Pien. Her skin tone and texture were beautiful and she said it had not so been a few years back and that it was directly because of the laser treatments she had done with Dr. Pien.

The stretch mark removal treatment was way more comfortable than what I was expecting. The numbing cream works like a charm! Dr Pien performed the procedure. She makes you feel so comfortable and talks you through everything that is happening.
So far I’ve had 4 stretch mark removal treatments and I am extremely happy with the results. My stretch marks are barely visible. What amazed me the most was how smooth my skin feels now. Im considering having another treatment to further the healing of my stretch marks but at this point I think I’ll wait and see how the healing progresses over the next few months. The doctors explained to me that my skin will continue to remodel and heal itself for months after the treatment.
The only thing that concerned me at first is that my stretch marks got darker after the first couple of treatments. The doctors explained to me that this is normal as my body is is directing all its resources to the area in order to heal it. They weren’t kidding. I stuck with it and am so happy that I did! Dr Pien worked her magic and my stretch marks are practically gone!After years of searching reviews on stretch mark removal, watching different videos of procedures, and contemplating if it was a procedure I was willing to undergo, I FINALLY found the PERFECT place.
When I made my first call to AMA Regenerative Medicine & Skincare, I spoke with one of the lovely receptionists who was very informative and understanding of my condition. She scheduled my initial appointment with DR. Milgrom ASAP and I was seen 2 weeks later. Upon arriving at the office in Santa Monica, I was welcomed into a serene and tranquil setting with a friendly and inviting office staff who were truly caring and professional. I relaxed in an amazing massage chair and was offered a refreshment until Dr. Milgrom came in to speak with me about the stretch mark removal procedure.When the Dr. came in, he was very personable; took the time to draw me a diagram of how stretch mark removal typically works and the type of lasers AMA had available. After I spoke with Dr. Milgrom, I met with Dr. Pien. The entire staff is incredibly sweet and Its the first time I can say I actually LOVE making a trip to the Dr’s office. I’ve only been to two laser treatments and one Collagen Induction Therapy, and have already noticed results! My stretch marks are incredibly lighter, and a lot less noticeable. Before when I would look in the mirror, my eyes would focus straight to my thighs, sides, and chest where I am receiving laser treatments. Now when I look in the mirror, I can barely see them. I can still notice them when I look straight at my skin, but am still expecting three more stretch mark removal treatments, although I don’t know I will need all five ;).
I agree with Lynette’s reviews regarding the caring staff and rewarding experience of AMA Regenerative Medicine & Skincare. The only inconvenience I have is that I live in Bakersfield, and the trip takes 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. BUT TOTALLY WORTH THE DRIVE. The prices are comparative considering other offices that charge by the laser and not by the time. DR. Pien has a steady and experienced hand, and I appreciate all of the Staff’s help in wanting to truly make me feel beautiful and more confident, inside and out.

I have been battling with stretch marks for almost 6 years. My stretch marks are located on the back of my calves. I have been using the palmers cocoa butter and some other products. I have visited Epione 6 times. I have paid 1,400.00 for each stretch mark removal treatment. You do the math. I honestly said, ” I’m just going to fall in love with my stretch marks” I am never going to see another doctor.
I’ll never forget this day, I was on my computer and came across AMA Regenerative Medicine & Skincare. I started to read about Dr. Pien and her theory of treating the stretch marks. She sounded like she knew what she was talking about. I wanted to meet her and tell her my experience. I wanted to ask her if she could give me hope or should I just fall in love with my stretch marks. Dr. Pien without any hesitation said, “she could help me” but, I had to follow her stretch mark treatment guidelines before and after treatment. I’ve had stretch marks ever since puberty and they are really embarrassing specially because they’re on my arms and lower back. I couldn’t wear sleeve less tops or dress coz i have to hide them. I’ve wasted so much time and money on soo many different creams that even work at all. Its sad that i didn’t find this place right away. My treatment consisted of 3 laser and collagen induction therapy (CIT) in between and i have to say that after just the first laser and CIT microneedling treatment i already saw dramatic results!! My stretch marks faded so much that Dr Pien already had a hard time seeing them on my second stretch mark removal treatment!
The whole staff is very accommodating and very nice. They are all knowledgable in what they do. Dr Milgrom and Dr Pien really take time to explain the whole stretch mark procedure and answer any questions. They all really pamper u and will make u feel comfortable from the time u walk in.
Their services are very effective because they have a whole lot of different lasers (unlike other places, and yes ive done my research) because as Dr Milgrom explained, there are specific lasers that ur skin needs depending on its condition. They’re also the only place i found that combine Laser and Collagen Induction therapy. Their prices are very competitive and well worth it.

After giving birth to my second child I had several stretch marks across my abdomen and sides. After the first laser stretch mark treatment I was able to see results. I have had a total of 3 treatments and my stretch marks are practically non-existent. My husband has to look extremely close to see anything. I cannot recommend AMA highly enough. I was desperate to find a way to improve the appearance of my cosmetic surgery scar. I had been through surgery twice – the first plastic surgeon didn’t do a good job, the second was a gem. I have medium-dark skin, so while the scar itself is flat pigmentation around the incision made the scar look worse than it should.

First off, the customer service here is absolutely amazing!! All of the staff are so nice and informative and they always do a nice follow up call after the laser procedures. I stopped into her office about 2 years ago with a huge scar left over on my abdomen from surgery. I was in tears and very uncomfortable in my skin. I was very self conscious and thought there was no way it would improve. My scar was very uneven in texture and hyper-pigmented.

I have to clarify that I am speaking about laser scar removal treatment because this is tricky and requires multiple treatments.
We are used to 1 hour photo, 15 minute prescription service, and have lost sight of the need for patience. Our skin needs to heal at a certain pace.
This takes several treatments, no matter where you go, and anybody who tries to tell you sooner, just go get a free second or third consultation.
I am VERY picky. I rarely find that I am satisfied with a service.
I usually always have to go back and get it redone!

They have many lasers and other devices at their arsenal, plus, the lasers that they do have are the latest generation, so you are getting the best treatment currently possible. You have to do your research because those machines are really expensive and a lot of doctors will buy a machine and just keep it, long after there are newer, better lasers on the market.
Dr. Milgrom prescribed 8-10 treatment sessions and I’m ok with that, because I’ve already seen the evidence of improvement.
Im getting closer and closer to feeling comfortable enough to wear summer clothing.
I haven’t worn short sleeves in 17 years.
Even in the middle of summer when it’s boiling hot, or if I’m at the beach I wear long sleeves and look like a total psycho and it’s so hot and uncomfortable.
I just want to be able to look and feel normal and comfortable without this problem always ruining it.
I feel really excited to see how much better the scars will get because they are going from really white and really jagged, to getting closer to my normal skin tone and texture.
I couldn’t do anything until now because the texture was so bad, makeup actually made it more obvious.
I tried applying some makeup on the scars the other night and it looked pretty good. Enough to go to dinner and wear something that I actually like. That is a milestone after having worn long sleeves for almost two decades.
